Actually, there was nothing wrong with the car.

The car had great mileage and pickup. Just the vinyl seats gave me a problem!

Seriously, the early to mid 1970s Bonneville has got to be the rarest of any full-size GM car from this decade, especially the coupe! I know the review to which this comment refers is a station wagon model, but my point is that the Bonneville from this era is very very hard to find. The Bonneville came with bigger V8s (400 or 455) so maybe this is why most have disappeared. I'd been told big V8s are rather difficult to service compared to the legendary 350. My girlfriend in college had a '76 coupe with somewhere over 100k and was on its 3rd 350 V8; she let me drive it a few times. It broke down all the time, but I loved it anyway due to its design and my love for GM full-size coupes from the '60s to the '80s. :-)
