1985 Buick Electra Limited 4 door 3.8 Liter V6 from North America
Summary:
Will last forever with reasonable TLC
Faults:
Transmission went to pot at 187,000 miles.
Engine has a tick- tick- tick noise while warming up.
Power windows are deathly slow.
Water pump at 145,000.
Oxygen sensor a few months ago.
General Comments:
Besides normal maintenance, I've had very few problems with this car. First year of GM's front wheel drive full-size.
Avoid the 85-87 models that haven't had the tranny replaced. It usually took GM a few years to get things right.
Fairly quick and nimble for a full-size, especially considering the age and miles.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know
